REPOA in collaboration with Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), is conducting a training workshop to members of civil society organizations, policy-makers and other extractive industry stakeholders in Tanzania on how Tanzania can best harness natural resources to realize its development goals.
This hands-on “learning from practice” workshop, which runs for five days, will focus on illustrating the links between and dynamics of extractives governance and the implementation of FYDP II. The training aims to improve participants’ knowledge of policy options and tools to achieve the plan’s objectives and will also explore inherent implementation challenges.
The course modules focus on:
• The socio-economic context that underpins Tanzania’s governance of its extractives sector.
• The fundamentals of oil, gas and mineral resource governance for sustainable development.
• Identification of new insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with extractives governance for the implementation of the FYDP II.
