Post Graduate Diploma in Poverty Analysis |

The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) and Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) in partnership with the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague , The Netherlands, are conducting a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) course in Poverty Analysis. The course is jointly delivered and managed by the three institutions, where ISS is the Postgraduate Diploma awarding institution. The PGD programme is being supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); other partners are being approached for additional support for the coming intakes. The PGD course is a part time one year programme delivered through distance learning coupled with short term intensive training workshops. It places specific emphasis on developing capabilities for research and applied policy analysis on poverty issues. Course Objectives: Enhance research capabilities for policy analysis with explicit focus on poverty, vulnerability and socioeconomic security. Enhance the quality and effectiveness of policies concerned with poverty reduction and protection of the poor. Note: The application period for the New Intake 2010/2011 is now CLOSED.
