A plain language guide on poverty and vulnerability in Tanzania is available. The guide examines issues such as: What makes some people poor or vulnerable? Which groups of people are more likely to be poorer tomorrow than today - and why? How do vulnerable individuals, households and communities try to overcome their problems? How can people work together better to reduce poverty and vulnerability?
The guide is written in reader friendly language and has been produced so that people can use the important information given in the Tanzania Participatory Poverty Assessment (TzPPA) report for 2002/03. This report is from a study commissioned by the Government of Tanzania to gain a deeper understanding of people's vulnerability to poverty in Tanzania.
