The Tanzania Governance Noticeboard presents information useful for the strengthening of accountability, transparency and integrity in Tanzania and supports the establishment of mechanisms for better tracking of public expenditure and budget monitoring at the district and village level.

Training Material
Government Financial Reporting Systems Workshop A training and awareness raising workshop on Government Financial Reporting Systems was held for CSOs, on 24 February 2005. This was arranged together with the Policy Forum, a coalition of CSOs active in the policy process in Tanzania.
The workshop covered presentations on the MTEF budget process, as well as the SBAS software developed to track the budget in relation to the National Strategy of Growth and Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP) or MKUKUTA, according to its better known Swahili acronym.
There was also a presentation on Planrep, the reporting software devised by PO-RALG to enable accurate and transparent reporting of plans and budgets at the Local Government level.
