Proposals for the CSO Action Research Programme |

With the CSO Action Research Programme, REPOA has created an opportunity for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to undertake research with support from REPOA.
This programme aims to facilitate capacity building of CSOs to undertake research. The objectives are to: - Empower grassroots communities to engage in the analysis of their problems; and
- Increase the quality of research so it can be more useful and relevant for policy dialogue and/or further in-depth research.
Any CSO active and based in Tanzania can apply to participate in this research programme. The current research themes are: - Agriculture and food security
- Natural resources
- Basic social services delivery
Two categories of funding will be considered. The first category will fund descriptive research that focuses on providing data and information and to educate the public on important events and facts. The second will facilitate empirically based policy analysis for poverty reduction
CSOs are encouraged to submit a comprehensive, well thought out and well-argued proposal to REPOA. The proposal should include the title, background to research, research problem, objectives, literature review, the methodology to be used, the hypotheses to be tested, bibliography, work plan, the names of principal researchers, their current CV and a budget.
